2018 FASEB Rigor and Reproducibility: Promoting Credible Science and Interdisciplinary Collaborations Workshop (Part I) and Course (Part II)

Led by internationally-recognized faculty advisors and expert technical staff, Part I two-day workshop will focus on the "hard" and "operational" aspects of genomics, proteomics, and imaging technologies used in the design and experimental execution, data acquisition, data curation (i.e., bioinformatics), data quantitation, and interpretation of data.

The need to master genomics, proteomics and imaging technologies as well as the need to authenticate validate, and replicate data generated is the goal of the workshop. The Part 1 workshop will be held at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel in South Carolina on April 26-27 following the Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities (ABRF) 2018 Annual Meeting (April 22-25).

Following the completion of the workshop, participants will advance to Part II of the program, a seven-day short course taught at The University of Kansas in Lawrence on June 23-29, 2018. The course curriculum will include research team rotations through genomics, proteomics and imaging core facilities which deliver a full spectrum of research services with advanced technologies and education.

Following the short course, the trainees will continue to work and submit abstracts to present their work at the ABRF 2019 Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas (March 23-26).
