Today, the NIH PMI Cohort Program announced results from a recent survey designed to measure public attitudes about the Precision Medicine Initiative (PMI) Cohort Program. A majority of respondents were willing to participate in the nationwide research effort, with 79% of respondents supporting the proposed study and 54% indicating they would definitely or probably participate if asked. Levels of support for the study and willingness to participate were consistent across most demographic groups. The findings were published online in PLoS ONE by a team of National Institutes of Health researchers.
