Tune into Discovery for a peek at what happens at the NIH’s Clinical Center, the largest U.S. hospital just for clinical research. The hospital has about 1,600 clinical research studies running right now. It’s been the driving force behind some big advances in medicine, including the use of chemotherapy to cure solid, cancerous tumors.

Documentary filmmakers followed patients, caregivers, doctors, and researchers at the center. Episode one — Admission — is the first of three parts that’ll come out weekly.
