ISP aims to promote diverse leadership and inclusive research that are necessary for achieving health equity, particularly among communities who are: Black and Indigenous; children and adolescents; Disabled, blind, d/Deaf and hard of hearing, and/or neurodivergent; Latino/a/e/x; LGBTQIA and gender diverse; migrants and refugees; and older adults. Accordingly, ISP works to achieve the following:

• Provide multilingual professional development and mentorship opportunities for diverse professionals from underrepresented communities.
• Develop and deliver trainings and curricula that build study teams' capacity for conducting more inclusive and rigorous research, such as trainings about health equity, life course, and social justice approaches to research.
