The NIH's National Cancer Institute recently released an updated version of its 2010 Collaboration and Team Science: A Field Guide.

This guide is used by institutional leaders to "to help guide change at an organizational level, shifting research culture from a primary investigator-initiated focus to one that embraces collaborative and cross-cutting efforts across disciplinary dedicated departments."

Additionally, the journal American Psychologist published a special issue on the science of teamwork — "what psychological science in 2018 tells us about the process and outcomes of teamwork in a variety of contexts."

The special issue includes an article that reviews the empirical findings from the Science of Team Science literature, a second article on public engagement in team science, and a third article on the tradeoff in team science for STEM PhD graduates.
